Careers at Motive Training

Personal Training Program

Motive Training is a personal training and mobility gym in South Austin built around measurable progress and high-quality movement. We’re looking for personal trainers who want a real system to coach inside, a standard worth holding, and a team that takes the work seriously.

If you care about doing the job well and getting better at it every year, you’ll fit here. You’ll have support, mentorship, and a clear path to develop as a coach in South Austin, working with clients who value the process as much as the result. This is a long-term coaching career we want to help you build.

We coach the person in front of us

Good coaching starts with paying attention.

Our personal trainers listen first, assess second, and build the plan around who the client actually is. People come to us with different histories, schedules, injuries, and goals, and the program gets built around all of it. We pair strength work with mobility training so clients move better and build strength they can actually use. A plan that makes sense to the client is a plan that holds up over time.

As a coach here, you’ll track progress, adjust with intent, and keep every client clear on what they’re doing and why. The coaching is personal because you actually know the people you train, and you stay with them as their goals change.

Putting personal back into personal training

The system behind the coaching

We measure before we program.

Every client begins with clear baselines, and we coach toward measurable change from there. We use tools like the Functional Range Assessment (FRA) to read joint capacity and movement options, then build programs that improve mobility, strength, and control in ways that carry over to real training. This assessment-first approach gives you real data to coach against, and it’s a big part of why clients stick with the personal training here.

The system gives you something concrete to coach from:

  • Assessment-driven starting points

  • Training priorities set by what each client needs most

  • Regular re-checks that show progress and shape the next phase

  • Programming that stays efficient and purposeful

Our System Works

How we operate

We run a high standard without the drama.

We invest in education, coach development, and the methods that help clients move and train better. Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) shapes how we think about joint function, strength through a full range of motion, and long-term resilience, and many of our coaches go on to teach KINSTRETCH classes here in Austin. We treat mobility coaching as a real skillset to develop, and we give coaches the room and the reps to build it.

You’ll be part of a team that collaborates. We share ideas, solve problems together, and keep the coaching sharp without making the place feel heavy. Good coaches stay here because the standard pushes them and the environment supports them.

We are Built different

We invest in coaches who want to grow

We hire people who plan to be great at this.

You’ll get real chances to develop your coaching and your career:

  • Mentorship and feedback from experienced coaches

  • Ongoing education, continuing education support, and in-house development

  • A clear progression in responsibility and standards

  • Help refining your coaching voice and your decision-making

We back that with education incentives, so growing into a mobility specialist or a lead coaching role is a path you can actually walk here. If you’re searching for personal trainer jobs in Austin and want a long-term coaching career, this is where you build one.
